New Features

The Oracle Communications Subscriber-Aware Load Balancer (SLB) S-Cz9.0.0 release provides system and performance enhancements over prior release versions. The new customer-facing features within this release are presented below.

Hyperthreading Support

You can configure the SLB to utilize hyperthreading (SMT) support for datapath cores, including forwarding, DoS and transcoding cores. This configuration allows datapath CPUs to utilize two virtual CPUs (vCPUs) as "siblings" on the same physical CPU when the platform host supports hyperthreading. Refer to your software version's Release Notes to determine platforms that support this feature.

See the System Configuration chapter in the Oracle Session Border Controller ACLI Configuration Guide for further information.

REST TLS Certificates

With 9.0.0 and later, you can use a REST client to create a certificate-record configuration element, generate a Certificate Signing Request, and upload a CA-signed certificate to the SLB.
