Media Policy for the HTTP Client Element
You can configure the SBC to perform DSCP tagging for both media and the wancom0 interface on STIR/SHAKEN HTTP traffic. To support this, enabling the MAN compliance option exposes a media-policy reference parameter within the http-client element. You configure a media-policy for this traffic and apply it to the http-client.
The applicable parameter within this media-policy is the tos-value. When configured, the tos-value sets egress packets towards the targeted HTTP servers with this TOS value to inform the network about the traffic and handle that traffic with the appropriate priority to the extent that it can.
If there is also a media-policy applied to the applicable egress realm, that media-policy takes precedence. This means that, if the SBC finds a media-policy applied to the realm, it applies the realm's media-policy to the HTTP traffic and uses that policy's configured tos-value, ignoring the media-policy applied to the http-client.
