Cloud Native: Offline Mediation Controller in a Cloud Native Environment (CNE) supports a direct upgrade from release 12.0.0.8.0 onwards to release 15.1.

Traditional: Offline Mediation Controller does not support a direct upgrade from 6.0 to 15.1. However, it does support a serial upgrade. You must first upgrade from release 6.0 to release 12.0, and then you can upgrade from release 12.0 to release 15.1. Caution:

It is the responsibility of the system administrator to ensure that all installed software dependencies are kept up to date wherever possible. Oracle supports software versions that maintain backward compatibility with the version certified for Offline Mediation Controller. Support is provided for upgrades involving minor version increments (i.e., A.B.C to A.B.D).

It is especially important for system administrators to follow this policy for software dependencies where upgrades primarily address security rather than adding new functionality.
