Preface
This guide contains information needed to plan for an Oracle Communications MetaSolv Solution (MSS) installation. It contains technical requirements for hardware and software needed to create an environment for MSS. The guide also provides estimates of equipment needed to run MSS for different size businesses. The estimates are general and are intended as a learning tool. Estimates on equipment and configuration settings cannot be exact because needs vary between MSS installations based on issues such as the number of users, the volume of transactions, whether the application is being used on a WAN, and so on. To ensure you have planned for the appropriate equipment and software, Oracle recommends contacting its Professional Services Organization before you proceed with an installation.
This guide includes some information on third-party software products used by MSS. However, this information is limited to information needed to install and perform initial configuration tasks. If you need additional information on a third-party software application, consult the third-party documentation.
Audience
This guide is intended for individuals responsible for installing, maintaining, and ensuring the software operations of MSS. This guide assumes that you have administrative and software experience in the following: Oracle DBA, WebLogic, Windows 10 or higher, and JEE.

Diversity and Inclusion
Oracle is fully committed to diversity and inclusion. Oracle respects and values having a diverse workforce that increases thought leadership and innovation. As part of our initiative to build a more inclusive culture that positively impacts our employees, customers, and partners, we are working to remove insensitive terms from our products and documentation. We are also mindful of the necessity to maintain compatibility with our customers' existing technologies and the need to ensure continuity of service as Oracle's offerings and industry standards evolve. Because of these technical constraints, our effort to remove insensitive terms is ongoing and will take time and external cooperation.
