A Deprecated Features

Oracle recommends that you review the following information about deprecated features and functions before using the S-Cz8.3.0 release.

secure-traps

Within the context of the E-SBC's comprehensive SNMPv3 support, the secure-traps value is removed from the snmp-agent-mode parameter.

The elimination of secure-traps means that the following protocols are deprecated for use by SNMP:

  • DES privacy protocol
  • MD5 and SHA authentication protocols

apEnvMonVoltageStatusEntry MIB object The apEnvMonVoltageStatusEntry objects have been deprecated. Voltage monitoring is still available using the show voltage command in the ACLI. SCZ8.3.0

Telnet

Telnet is not supported. Use SSH for network access to E-SBC management.

Note that references to Telnet and FTP are still present in the S-Cz8.3.0 documentation set because those terms are still used in the ACLI.

For example, the telnet-timeout parameter persists in the guide because it persists in system-config where the parameter now specifies the SSH timeout.
