This guide is intended for administrators seeking to address the complexities of database lifecycle management, specifically in the realms of discovery, provisioning, patching (updates and upgrades), and monitoring. This guide caters to administrators assuming two distinct roles: designer and operator.
In the designer role, an administrator takes on the role of a system administrator, carrying out pivotal database operations such as Image Creation and Image Refresh. As an operator, an administrator executes update and upgrade of databases and grids, monitor configuration and compliance of targets within Enterprise Manager.
