Schedule blackouts
You may have separate blackout schedules for your primary and standby databases. Before scheduling the blackouts, first create separate primary and standby groups . Then apply the separate blackout to the primary or standby group.
Example: Let's say you want to place a blackout on standby database targets only:
- Create separate Administration Groups or Dynamic Groups for your primary and standby databases (see Create groups for your Primary and Standby databases).
- Next, schedule a blackout on the standby group that was created.
The blackout will then only occur on all standby databases who are members of the group.
