Before You Begin

Before you begin with Lifecycle Management operations on Exadata Cloud, make sure that the following prerequisites are met:
  • Oracle Enterprise Manager 13.5 Release Update 10 (13.5.0.10) or higher is deployed for Oracle Exadata Database Service on Cloud@Customer, and Oracle Enterprise Manager 13.5 Release Update 21 (13.5.0.21) or higher is deployed for Oracle Exadata Database Service on Dedicated Infrastructure.
  • The Exadata Cloud targets are discovered in Oracle Enterprise Manager 13.5, for more information on discovering Exadata Cloud Targets in Enterprise Manager see Discovery of Exadata Cloud.

Note:

Exadata Cloud PDBs use TDE (Transparent Data Encryption). In line with Oracle’s best practices, Enterprise Manager only supports TDE configuration when it is configured using init.ora.
