racli alter appliance
Runs out-of-place patching steps that do not require the appliance to be offline. This includes the creation and installation of new
oracle and grid home directories.
Syntax
racli alter appliance --online_updates --gold_images_path=DIRECTORY
[--redo_oracle_home] [--redo_grid_home]Options

--gold_images_path -
Directory where the database and grid gold images are staged.

--redo_oracle_home -
Forces the creation of new Oracle home using the gold image of the Recovery Appliance version.

--redo_grid_home -
Forces the creation of new Grid home using the gold image of the Recovery Appl iance version.
This command allows the creation and installation of the out-of-place patch homes before downtime window begins. This command could be performed as part of an advance precheck to minimize the downtime required within the outage window.
