Update Generation
/essbase/rest/v1/applications/{applicationName}/databases/{databaseName}/dimensions/{dimensionName}/generations/{generationNumber}
Updates and returns generation details of a dimension, based on the specified generation number, application, and database.

Failed to update the generation. The application name, database name, dimension name, or generation number may be incorrect.

Examples
The following example shows how to update generation details in an Essbase cube.
This example uses cURL to access the REST API from a Windows shell script. The calling user's ID and password are variables whose values are set in properties.bat.
