This graphic depicts details of a GSM configuration. Each GSM region consists of two GSM hosts, deploiyed with GSM version 23.26 or later, with Oracle Database 26ai There is one GSM on each Linux physical machine host, or virtual machine (VM) host in the cloud. Each host consists of a Linux 8 or higher server with two CPUs with 32GB of memory, and with 512 GB sttorage. The GDS catalog consists of two Oracle Data Guard dedicated database instances for the GDS catalog, with the GDS primary catalog on one instsance, and the GDS standby catalog on another. The Oracle Database configuration provides a private interconnect between the two catalog instances to maintain concurrency.

The GSM host provides fault tolerance. The GDS catalog provides database failure tolerance. The system provides login storm handling. Finally, the system provides protection during planned maintenance.
