18.4.5 Copying or Subscribing to a REST Data Source

Copy a REST Data Source from another application. When copying a REST Data Source from another app, you can also subscribe to it.

Tip:

Subscriptions enable developers to reuse shared components across several applications in a workspace. To learn more about subscriptions, see Using Shared Component Subscriptions.

To copy a REST Data Source from another application:

  1. Navigate to the REST Data Sources page:
    1. On the Workspace home page, click App Builder.
    2. Select an application.
    3. On the Application home page, click Shared Components in the center of the page.
    4. Under Data Sources, select REST Data Sources.
  2. From the Tasks list, select Copy from another app.
  3. Copy From Application - Select an application from which to copy the REST Data Source and click Next.
  4. Copy:
    1. To Name - Optionally edit the name of the REST Data Source.
    2. Action - Select an Action:
      • Yes - Copy the REST Data Source.
      • No - Do not copy the REST Data Source.
      • Copy and Subscribe - Copy and subscribe to the REST Data Sources. Subscribing to a REST Data Source adds a copy of it in your application and sets the REST Data Source master reference.
  5. Click Copy REST Data Source.
