Change of Retry Logic in EPM Automate

EPM Automate will now display an error if it encounters HTTP 403 (forbidden or access denied, meaning the server understands your request but refuses to authorize it) or HTTP 404 (indicating that the requested resource cannot be found) errors. Instead, it will display the following messages to indicate such events:

  • 403 -> Access denied – Exit Error Code 9
  • 404 -> Invalid URL – Exit Error Code 6

Previously, EPM Automate would retry the commands that resulted in these errors.

Applies to: Account Reconciliation, Planning and Budgeting, Profitability and Cost Management, Close Management and Consolidation, Freeform, Narrative Reporting, Tax Reporting

Business Benefit: This change in behavior removes unnecessary load on the EPM Automate client and the Cloud EPM by eliminating the execution of ineffective commands.
