Automatically Associate Tax Reporting Units for the Employees

Enhance the user experience with the automated Tax Reporting Unit (TRU) association for employees based on configurable mapping rules, reducing the need for manual updates to statutory deduction calculation cards. You need to define the mapping rules that determine the appropriate TRU for an employee based on employment and statutory attributes.
The framework is designed to automatically determine TRU association during the key employee lifecycle events, including hire, change of location and transfer and then, use the rules to create the applicable TRU associations in the statutory deduction calculation card.
Configure the mapping rules for these statutory components:

  • Income Tax
  • Professional Tax
  • Provident Fund
  • ESI
  • LWF
  • NPS

Rules can use these attributes to determine the applicable TRU:

  • Legal Employer
  • Payroll Statutory Unit (PSU)
  • Location or State
  • Establishment or Registration

Administrators can create, edit, and end-date the mapping rules. The rules support effective date.

  • Reduce administrative effort and configuration errors by automatically maintaining employee TRU associations based on the predefined business rules. Consistent rule-based associations also help improve the accuracy of statutory payroll configuration.
