Important Actions and Considerations for Learning
Mandatory migration to enhanced career role suggestions using generative AI
Change: As first announced in release 25D, you need to migrate from the Suggested Career feature that used predictive AI through Oracle AI Apps by release 26B. Starting with release 26C, Oracle will no longer support the Suggested Career feature and will replace it with the enhanced career role suggestions based on generative AI. These enhanced career role suggestions, which are more relevant and contextual compared to predictive AI, will be available in:
- Grow: Career role recommendations for you swim lane
- Opportunity Marketplace:
- Career roles filter
- Recommended filter
What do I need to do?
- Enable career roles in Opportunity Marketplace. For details, see Configure Career Roles.
- Set up the Recommendation Profiles application. For details, see the Steps to Enable section in this 24D What’s New: Audiences for Role Gaps and Popular Recommenders.
- Enable enhanced career role suggestions. For details, see Recommend AI-Based Career Roles Using Recommendation Profiles.
- Enable the new Recommendations framework, which has been available since release 25A. If the feature isn't enabled before you get the 26D update, recommendations will no longer appear in Oracle Learning.
- Enable the new Configure Calendar Event Body, which has been available since release 25D. If the feature isn't enabled before you get the 27C update, that update will automatically enable it.
Mandatory migration to Redwood Career Development
Change: You need to migrate to the new Redwood Career Development experience before release 27A. Starting with 27A, new customer will be automatically moved to the Redwood experience.
In release 24D, Oracle released the Redwood Career Development experience for employees in Opportunity Marketplace. See the introduction the release 24D What's New feature: Browse and View Career Roles..
- If you’re using only the Employee experience for Career Development, you need to move now.
- If you’re using the Manager experience, you should move over now because the Redwood experience for managers is available.
Does this impact me? Yes. If any of your employees or managers use the Responsive UI-based Career Development pages, those pages will no longer be supported after release 26D. If you don’t manage this change proactively, you’ll be automatically moved to the new experience in release 27A.
Affected areas: Me > Career > Career Development and My Team > Career Overview > Performance.
Back navigation is now available on these Redwood flows
- My Client Group > Learning and Development > Learning Assignments
- My Client Group > Learning and Development > Learning Assignment Profiles
- My Client Group > Learning and Development > Learning Catalog
- My Client Group > Learning and Development > Categories and Topics
- My Team > Learning and Development > Calendar menu
- Me > Show More > Instructor Activity Center
Columns on the unified Learning Catalog page
Columns on the unified Learning Catalog page now consistently display values for courses, offerings, and learning paths. This resolves an issue originally reported under the Unified Learning Catalog Administration and Access Control feature in the 25D release, where select columns appeared blank for certain learning types. Catalog visibility and data completeness are now fully restored.
- Where used count
- Used in specializations count
- Used in topics count
- Used in communities count
- Active assignment count
- Completed assignment count
- Rating count
- Visibility
The visibility filter on the unified Learning Catalog page now supports all learning types. This resolves an issue originally reported under the Unified Learning Catalog Administration and Access Control feature in the 25D release, where filtering applied only to self-paced items, enabling more consistent catalog navigation and targeted content management.
Removal of the Unload event in Google Chrome and implications for Learning
Over the past few years, Google has gradually been deprecating the Unload event from the Google Chrome browser. See the Removal of the "Unload" Event in Google Chrome and the Implications for Learning announcement on Customer Connect for more details.
Replaced or removed features
From time to time, Oracle replaces existing Cloud service features with new features or removes existing features. When a feature is replaced, the older version may be removed immediately or at a future time. As a best practice, you should use the newer version of a replaced feature as soon as the newer version is available.
