EMPLOYEE SELF-SERVICE FOR TAX JURISDICTIONS CARDS
We have extended visibility into employee tax calculations by introducing a view of the Tax Jurisdictions card in Employee Self-Service (ESS). Employees can now view the tax jurisdictions derived for their resident and work tax addresses directly from self-service, improving transparency into how their addresses drive payroll taxation. This view is informational only. Employees can’t edit or override these jurisdictions.
All person definitions assigned to the predefined Employee Abstract role have access to the new Tax Jurisdictions ESS task.
This enhancement increases payroll transparency by allowing employees to see how their addresses translate into applicable tax jurisdictions—without compromising data integrity or payroll controls. It helps reduce employee inquiries related to taxation while ensuring jurisdiction maintenance remains fully managed by payroll and HR administrators.

Tips and considerations
- All employees can view their Tax Jurisdictions card in Self-Service. To restrict employee access, you need to define an employee role that excludes the HRX_VIEW_US_TAX_JURISDICTIONS_PRIV privilege. Assign it to the appropriate people, and remove the default Employee Abstract role.
