Attribute Name Changes

Business object attributes correspond to various business areas. In an effort to align the attribute labels shown in the Advanced Financial Controls business objects to labels defined in the corresponding application pages, one has been updated.

For Audit - Value Set, the following attribute names have been changed:

  • From ValueSetIdentifier New to API Name New
  • From ValueSetIdentifier Old to API Name Old

Attribute Data Type Size Changes

The character length of the following Audit - Customer Account Site attributes has increased to 360 characters:

  • Translated Customer Name New
  • Translated Customer Name Old

Business Object Name Changes

The following business object names have changed:

  • Time Card is renamed to Time Card - Unavailable. Oracle Fusion Cloud Time and Labor has changed how time card data is stored, so Advanced Controls can no longer access current data for this business object.
  • Sensitive Data Access Audit is renamed to Sensitive Data Access Audit (To Be Deprecated). As Oracle HCM transitions to Redwood, user read access to sensitive pages will no longer be tracked, making the data for this business object unavailable.

Note: If you currently use models or controls based on these business objects, complete any required mitigation activities and plan to retire them. They will no longer receive new data beginning in 26D. Don't import any new models that use these business objects, including: (1) Model 50008: Time Reported Fraudulently During Absences, located in Human Capital Management Library > Advanced Transaction Controls, and (2) Any model in Common Setup Library > Advanced Sensitive Data Access Audit Controls.

Business Benefit

Updates to audit business objects are made to support and maintain alignment with records in Setup and Maintenance > Manage Audit Policies. These updates also identify unavailable business objects, helping you avoid unsupported data sources and model controls when configuring Advanced Controls.

Steps to enable and configure

When you use business objects that introduce changes to attributes, you must run the Transaction Data Source Synchronization job. Business objects with changes require that the data synchronization job be run to return the related values. Depending upon the number of business objects you are using across models and controls, the data synchronization job may take a little longer than usual.

Tips and considerations

  • Review existing controls that use the affected business objects.
  • Export any results and complete required remediation activities.
  • Inactivate and retire the controls because these business objects are no longer supported.
