User Interface Improvements in Reports

The Reports user interface in Oracle Smart View for Office (Mac and Browser) user interface has been enhanced for a consistent user experience.

Applies to:  Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management, Financial Consolidation and Close, FreeForm, Narrative Reporting, Planning, Tax Reporting

The enhancements are as follows:

  • On the Actions menu and right-click menu, Import Reports is now changed to Import Formatted Report.
  • The Edit POV task now opens in a dialog box instead of a panel. In the Edit POV dialog box:
    • The OK button refreshes and reloads the report as per the modified POV. So the Reload Report button, earlier present in the panel, is no longer required and has been removed
    • If member selection in enabled while designing the report, then an ellipses button appears next to the POV drop-downs to open the Member Selection dialog box for selecting the required members.
  • The Edit Prompts task now opens in a dialog box instead of a panel. In the Edit Prompts dialog box:
    • The OK button refreshes and reloads the report as per the modified prompt. So the Run Report button, earlier present in the panel, is no longer required and has been removed.
    • A Reset All button is now added to fetch default selections.

Business Benefit: The improved Reports user interface now provides a consistent experience between the Smart View for Office client and Smart View for Office (Mac and Browser).
