Setting Up the Onboarding Portlet
You can customize your dashboard to include an Onboarding portlet. The Onboarding portlet can show up to three tabs:
-
Your onboarding plan
-
Your assigned tasks
-
New hires in your organization
Here’s what you can do with the Onboarding portlet:
-
Track progress and due dates for your onboarding activities
-
Mark onboarding activities as complete
-
See how many assigned tasks you still have pending
-
Monitor tasks with upcoming due dates
-
Open a task link to update its status
-
View your company’s recent hires
-
Open a link to view a new hire’s employee record or send them a welcome email
To set up your Onboarding portlet:
You should use the portlet in the wide or narrow areas of the one-or two-column dashboard layouts. Try not to use it in the narrow areas of a three-column layout.
-
Click Personalize in the upper-right corner of your dashboard or use the Personalize Dashboard link in the Settings portlet.
-
On the SuiteApps tab, click the Onboarding icon or drag it onto the dashboard.
To give everyone with the Employee Center role the same onboarding experience, turn on the Employee Center Dashboard Publishing feature. This feature lets you publish a standard Employee Center dashboard for everyone in your organization with that role. All Employee Center users see the same dashboard and portlets when they log in to NetSuite with that role. For more information, see Employee Center Dashboard Publishing Feature.
To perform activities on the Onboarding portlet, see Using the Onboarding Portlet.
