Release Delivery
NetSuite delivers changes to customers in one of three ways:

Major release – NetSuite has two major releases each year. For all major releases of NetSuite, customers are upgraded in phases over a period of a few months.
Before the upgrade, you can request a Release Preview account to test the new features with your own data and business processes. For more information, see the Requesting a Release Preview Account.

Minor release – A minor release is a scheduled update to resolve customer–reported issues that aren't urgent but should be fixed before the next major release. All customers get minor releases at the same time.

Hot push – A hot push is an update that occurs outside of the release schedule to fix critical customer-reported issues that cannot wait for the next scheduled minor release. A hot push is typically rolled out to a specific customer or set of customers.
