Prerequisites for Installing the Ireland Localization SuiteApp
Before installing the Ireland Localization SuiteApp, your account administrator must enable several features and preferences in your NetSuite account.
SuiteApps
To use additional functions of the Ireland Localization SuiteApp, the following SuiteApps are required:

EMEA Localization SuiteApp – this is a mandatory SuiteApp. To install the Ireland Localization SuiteApp, you must first install the EMEA Localization SuiteApp. This SuiteApp provides the framework for local VAT reports in SuiteTax and other EMEA-specific functionality. For more information, see Installing the EMEA Localization SuiteApp.

SuiteTax Engine – this is a recommended SuiteApp. You must install this SuiteApp only if you want to use Tax Reporting Framework. This SuiteApp helps your business meet the tax determination and reporting requirements. To install, see Installing the SuiteTax Engine.

SuiteTax Data Records – this is a recommended SuiteApp. You must install this SuiteApp only if you want to use Tax Reporting Framework. This SuiteApp provides tax rates for countries that use VAT/GST. To install, see Installing the SuiteTax Engine.

Tax Reporting Framework – this is a recommended SuiteApp. You must install this SuiteApp only if you want to use Tax Reporting Framework. This SuiteApp provides the permissions, setup options, and tax reporting features to country tax reports. To install, see Installing Tax Reporting Framework.

Electronic Bank Payments – this is a recommended SuiteApp. You must install this SuiteApp only if you want to be able to generate payment files for your bank. Charges may apply if you need to produce files for multiple countries. This SuiteApp enables you to process bank payments of your vendor bills, employee expenses, partner and employee commissions, and customer refunds, and also enables you to produce direct debit files. Enabling Features for Ireland Localization
To install Ireland Localization and use Irish-specific functionality, you must enable the required features.
Some of the required features have already been enabled if you have installed the EMEA Localization SuiteApp.
To enable required features:

Go to Setup > Company > Setup Tasks > Enable Features.

On the Tax subtab, check the SuiteTax box.

On the SuiteCloud subtab, check the following boxes:

Custom Records

Advanced PDF/HTML Templates
-
Client SuiteScript
-
Server SuiteScript
-

Click Save.
Setting Up Accounts for Ireland Localization
If you want to use the Tax Reporting Framework delivered by the Ireland Localization SuiteApp, make sure that your NetSuite is properly configured. Please check the following:

Accounting periods must be set for Ireland subsidiary. For more information, see Setting Up Accounting Periods for a Year.

The SuiteTax Plug-In must be enabled. Enabling the SuiteTax Plug-In permits you to select SuiteTax as your tax engine. For more information, see Enabling the SuiteTax Plug–In.

Tax registration must be assigned to a subsidiary. To add a tax registration for a subsidiary, see Assigning Tax Registrations to a Subsidiary in SuiteTax.
