Using the SuiteApp for Employee Offboarding

Onboarding/Offboarding Plans helps you make offboarding smooth for employees who are leaving. You can handle offboarding with custom plans and templates you can reuse.

Guidelines for Using the SuiteApp for Employee Offboarding

  • Before you create an offboarding plan, make sure the employee has a record. You can't create an offboarding plan without one.

  • After you create an offboarding plan, don't clear the Termination/Release Date field on the employee record. The SuiteApp uses this date to set task due dates. If you delete it, you won't be able to change due dates and will have to delete the plan.

  • If you use Effective Dating, make sure the effective date on the employee record is the current date or a date in the past. If you set it to a future date, the SuiteApp can't source the termination date from the record
