Germany Financial Statements
If you want to use this feature of the Germany Localization SuiteApp, you must have the Country-Specific Reports SuiteApp installed. To learn more about this SuiteApp, see Recommended SuiteApps.
With the Germany Localization SuiteApp, NetSuite can generate and display supported German financial statements with the content and in the format prescribed by law. The following financial statements are currently supported by the Germany Localization SuiteApp:
-

The installation process usually takes up to 20 minutes to accomplish. To monitor the progress, go to Setup > Import/Export > View CSV Import Status.
-
Go to Reports > Financial > Country-Specific Reports and check whether the new reports have been installed and can be properly displayed.
When the Germany Localization SuiteApp is updated to a newer version, go to the Germany Localization overview page (Setup > Customization > Germany Localization) to ensure your financial statements are installed and up to date. For more information, see Germany Localization Overview.
Net Amount Calculation Method
To calculate net amount values correctly, all financial statements delivered by the Germany Localization SuiteApp use the special method “Debit minus Credit”. Note that this only applies to financial statements provided by the Germany Localization SuiteApp; net amount values in your other financial statements will be calculated as usual.

Note:
This filter is only available on OneWorld accounts. See Introduction to NetSuite OneWorld chapter for more information. |

Displaying Consolidated Balance Sheets
This option is only available if you're using NetSuite OneWorld account with Multiple Currencies enabled. From the list of subsidiaries on the Balance Sheet page, select a consolidated subsidiary (one that has one or more subsidiaries using a different currency than the parent subsidiary). You'll recognize them by having the word consolidated in brackets next to their name. Next, click the Show Report button. The form will be automatically updated.
In NetSuite, the CTA (Cumulative Translation Adjustment) is used on consolidated reports to make them balance. This is necessary because the exchange rate types of the accounts (with multi-currency enabled) on reports may differ and different rates may be used, resulting in an imbalance. For more information, see General Company Features and Cumulative Translation Adjustment (CTA) Overview.
