Linking Payroll Items in WFM

Workforce Management (WFM) lets you to link your wage agreements to your payroll system.

Ensure that you payroll system’s pay items are linked to WFM. These items may have different names depending on your payroll system. Proper linking ensures that WFM sends conditions, such as regular hours or public holidays, are recorded in the right place.

Before linking payroll items, ensure that you have wage agreements set up on your account. For more information, see Wage Setup.

WFM lets you link payroll items to the following configurations:

Employees with the Administrator role can link payroll items to WFM.

To link payroll items in WFM:

  1. Go to Workforce Management.

  2. Go to Setup > NetSuite Integration > Agreements.

    The Link objects to Payrollitems page opens to the Conditions subtab.

  3. Link items to conditions.

    1. Locate the WFM wage agreement with conditions that you want to link to your payroll items.

      The following conditions are available:

      • Regular Hours

      • Public Holiday

      • Saturday

      • Sunday

      • Standard Overtime

      • Extended Overtime

    2. From each condition field, search then select the payroll item you want to link.

      Note:

      This search will only display up to 15 items at a time, so you may need to increase your search terms if you are not seeing the item you’re looking for.

      When you select an item, that item is linked to WFM.

    3. If you want to unlink a payroll item from a condition, click Unlink.

  4. Link items to classifications.

    1. Click the Classifications subtab.

    2. From the list on the upper left, select the wage agreement where you want to link payroll items.

    3. From the list on the upper right, select the revision date. Generally, you should select the latest revision date to ensure you're linking payroll items to the current version of the agreement.

      All classifications that belong to that agreement and revision appears, divided across multiple subtabs for each age or age range and across multiple condition levels.

    4. Expand the classification level where the payroll item you want to link is mapped.

    5. From the appropriate classification, select the age or age range.

    6. Repeat Steps 3a to 3c.

  5. Link items to allowances.

    1. Click the Allowances subtab.

      All associated allowances for each wage agreement will appear on the page.

      Note:

      If an allowance or penalty doesn't load from the page, make sure that it is created within payroll.

    2. Repeat Steps 3a to 3c.

  6. Link items to penalties.

    1. Click the Penalties subtab.

      All associated penalties for each wage agreement will appear on the page.

    2. Repeat Steps 3a to 3c.
