Set Public URLs
You can configure URLs to be publicly available even though your web store is password protected or a SuiteCommerce MyAccount (SCMA) site.
For example, your domain is www.example.com and you want www.example.com/blog to be a public URL. This means that you need to set /blog
as a public URL. All web pages that come after /blog/
, such as /blog/blog1.html
, are publicly accessible even when www.example.com is a password-protected or SCMA site. Users who visit web pages that are part of www.example.com/blog will be able to view these pages and will not be redirected to your login page.
When configuring public URLs, be aware that:
-
Product pages cannot be made public if you have installed the Reference Product Review Records SuiteApp.
-
The Public URLs setting is not tied to any extension. This means that any URLs you set as public will be accessible without a login regardless of any extensions you have installed.
-
If you add a slash (/) to the URL field in the SuiteCommerce Configuration record, only your home page will be publicly available.
-
Don't add parameters to the URL field in SuiteCommerce Configuration. The Public URLs feature isn't meant to work that way and it could cause problems with how your URLs show up.
To set public URLs:
-
Go to Commerce > Websites > Configuration.
-
Select your website and domain and click Configure.
-
Go to the My Account tab and the Overview subtab.
-
In the URL field, enter the URL you want to make public.
-
Click Add.
-
Repeat Steps 4 and 5 for each URL you want to make public.
-
Click Save.
