Denmark Tax Reports Overview

Denmark Tax Report SuiteApp lets you generate the Denmark Standard Audit File for Tax (SAF-T) report.

SAF-T (Standard Audit File for Tax) is an international standard format for exchanging electronic accounting data, developed by the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development). It is designed to facilitate efficient tax audits and ensure compliance with local tax regulations.

Starting January 1, 2025, all businesses operating in Denmark that maintain electronic records must submit the SAF-T report upon request from the Danish Tax Agency (Skattestyrelsen).

Denmark's SAF-T follows the OECD SAF-T version 2.0 standard.

Known Limitations

Denmark Tax Report SuiteApp has the following limitations:

  • Denmark Standard Audit File for Tax (SAF-T) report is supported in accounts without SuiteTax only.

  • Multi-Calendar feature is not supported.

  • Period end journal (PEJ) feature is not supported. In case a fiscal year before the report period is closed through PEJ feature, the balances returned by the General Ledger Accounts Balances will be incorrect..

  • Adjustment-Only Books feature is not supported.

  • All the fields marked as Optional are not included in the generated report in the current version of the Denmark Tax Reports.

  • If a fiscal year before the report period is not correctly closed (for example, a P&L account amount is not balanced with the Retained Earnings account), the General Ledger Accounts Balances will show incorrect balances. This could result in discrepancies between the General Ledger Accounts Balances source and the NetSuite Trial Balance report, as the latter shows expected balances assuming all prior fiscal years were correctly closed.
