Analyzing Trends in the CFO KPI Balance Sheet : Cash Flow Dashboard
The CFO KPI Balance Sheet : Cash Flow Dashboard displays the Balance Sheet key performance indicators (KPIs) and balance sheet year-over-year (YoY) variances. The dashboard also shows cash flow KPIs and cash activities by period, quarter, or full-year. The dashboard includes Balance Sheet and Cash Flow trend graphs. The Balance Sheet trend graphs display the asset and liabilities trend, asset and liabilities compositions. The Cash Flow trend graphs display the cash balance and free cash flow trend, and the cash outflow and inflow trend.

This section includes general instructions on how to use the following interactive subforms in the CFO KPI Balance Sheet: Cash flow Dashboard:

Balance Sheet KPIs – Displays Balance Sheet performance metrics for all Class, Relationship, Department, Item, and Locations by month. These metrics include current ratio, debt to equity, debt to earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITA), and return on assets.
The KPI ratios are calculated as:

Current Ratio =Current Assets ÷Current Liabilities

Debt to Equity =Total Liabilities ÷Equity

Debt to EBITDA =Total Liabilities ÷EBITDA

Return on Assets =(Net Income ÷Assets) ×100

YoY % Change – Displays YoY variances as a percentage on Balance Sheet KPIs (current ratio, debt to equity, debt to EBITA, and return on assets) for all Class, Relationship, Department, Item, and Locations by month.

Cash Flow KPIs – Displays the operating cash flow ratio, free cash flow to debt, and cash generating power ratio performance metrics.

Cash Activities – Displays the cash flow roll ups (operating activities, investing activities, financing activities) for all Class, Relationship, Department, Item, and Locations by month.

Assets : Liabilities Trend – Displays the total assets and total liabilities trends. The subform includes the option to drill down to the individual asset or liability accounts.

Asset Composition – Displays the total current, fixed, and other assets value contributions as a pie chart for the selected period. The subform includes option to drill down to the individual accounts.

Liability Composition – Displays the total current and long-term liabilities and the total equity value contributions as a pie chart for the selected period. The subform includes the option to drill down to the individual accounts.

Cash Balance and FCF Trend – Displays the cash at the end of the period in relation to the free cash flow trends for the selected Year.

Cash Outflow : Inflow Trend – Displays the operating, investing and financing activities across the selected Year. The subform includes option to drill down into each activity.
To analyze the Balance Sheet KPIs and trends:
You can maximize and refresh each trend graph individually by clicking the Maximize icon and Refresh icon in each subform
, respectively.

From the Home page, click the Reporting and Analytics card.

Click the 4 tab on the left-hand side to go to the CFO Dashboards.

Click CFO KPI Balance Sheet : Cash flow Dashboard.

In the Point of View, select a Version, Subsidiary, Currency, and Year.
If you use Dashboards 1.0, click the Go icon
to apply the changes to the POV.

Review the Balance Sheet KPIs, YoY % Change, Cash Flow KPIs, and Cash Activities.

Review the trends within each interactive subform for the selected year.
