Budget owners enter their departmental Forecasts at the Account level or by Item detail line. They can also use Predictive Planning and Grid Spread to create, analyze, validate, and adjust the expense trend in relation to historical Actuals.
Finance executives also use Predictive Planning and Grid Spread to analyze the expense trend in relation to historical Actuals. They analyze trends by Account and Department at top level, and they have the option to make top-level adjustments to the operating expense Forecast. Finance executives use the OpEx Dashboards as a reasonableness test to ensure accuracy based on historical trends and to analyze expense trends by Account and Department.
