Best Practices When Installing the Colombia Localization SuiteApp
When installing the Colombia Localization SuiteApp, be guided by the following best practices:

Enable the SuiteCloud features listed in the prerequisites section before installing the required SuiteApps for Colombia.

Install the required SuiteApps for Colombia before installing the Colombia Localization SuiteApp.

The permission with the highest CO Invoice Resolution level should be assigned to the specific role for invoice numbering setup.

Make sure the Third Party Entity field is enabled for all transaction forms at both the line and header level.

If you use group items in sales transactions, check the Override Third Party field so that the script fills in the Third Party Entity field at the line level. Otherwise, this field will not be filled in, which affects third-party and Magnetic Media reports.

When setting up the invoice numbering, the Current Number field must indicate the starting number of the invoice.

For the massive invoice process, the role must have the permission with the highest CO Massive invoicing process level.

To identify documents with errors or pending certification, add the Electronic Invoicing SuiteApp to your control panel.

The delivery of electronic documents to customers is directly carried out by a technological service provider.

It takes approximately 15 minutes for the XML to be assigned to the certified transaction.

When certifying a Credit Memo, all related invoices or documents should be previously electronically certified before the DIAN.

To obtain the Support Document, make sure that the following fields in the Vendor Bill form on the CUFE subtab are visible for filling:

Limitations of the Colombia Localization SuiteApp with the SuiteTax Feature Enabled
The Colombia Localization SuiteApp is compatible with the SuiteTax feature.

Other Known Limitations

The global discount is applied to the entire document and not individually to each product or service presented in the document. Since the discounts are applied by product line, this DIAN concept does not apply to NetSuite. Therefore, all the discounts assigned to the transaction are always by product line.

If the entity requires the use of multibook accounting, the primary book must be expressed in Colombian pesos (COP). This is needed for the Colombia Localization reports and to ensure that third parties are included in all transactions. If a specific ledger entry was required, and an account receivable or account payable was assigned, the entity field would not be available. Therefore, the transaction would not have a related third party.

Billable items, Billable Expenses, Billable Time are not supported on the Electronic Invoicing inbound/outbound e-Document process for Colombia.
