Customizing the NSEPM Implementer Role for Planning and Budgeting Sync

The NSEPM Implementer role is included in the installed SuiteApp, and has all the necessary permissions to get you started. If you need to customize the NSEPM Implementer role to better suit your needs, you can assign your specific permissions to it.

To customize the NSEPM Implementer role:

  1. In NetSuite, go to Setup > Users/Roles > Manage Roles.

  2. In the list of roles, click Edit next to the NSEPM Implementer role.

  3. On the Permissions subtab, add the required permissions one by one, including any of the following:

    1. (Optional) If you need to rename records and transactions at Setup > Company > Rename Records/Transactions, do the following:

      1. Click the Setup subtab.

      2. For the Set Up Company permission, change the access level to Full.

    2. If you are using a NetSuite OneWorld account, you need to add the following permissions:

      1. Click the Lists subtab, and add the following permissions:

        • Projects

        • Subsidiaries

      2. Click the Setup subtab, and add the Accounting Preferences permission.

  4. Click Save.

Tip:

The best practice is only to add the missing permissions and avoid removing any permissions.

Note:

If you remove a permission from the NSEPM Implementer role, it can be added back with the next upgrade of your installed SuiteApp.

Important:

With every new version of the Planning and Budgeting Sync SuiteApp, new permissions may be added to the NSEPM Implementer role. After you update your installed SuiteApp, you should go to Setup > Users/Roles > Show Role Differences, and compare the permissions you have in your custom role with the permissions in the updated NSEPM Implementer role. To make sure the integration works properly for you, add the new permissions to your custom role.
