Vendor Metadata
Customers in NetSuite can use NSPB Vendor Planning Category values to group vendors into different categories and create their own custom hierarchy. When you import Vendor metadata to your Planning and Budgeting, the NSPB Vendor Planning Category values are used to build the Vendor metadata hierarchy.
You can define the NSPB Vendor Planning Category on a vendor record under the Custom subtab.
The Vendor metadata hierarchy is built with the following logic:
-
If a vendor from NetSuite has an NSPB Vendor Planning Category, the NSPB Vendor Planning Category is used in your Planning and Budgeting as the parent.
-
If a vendor from NetSuite does not have an NSPB Vendor Planning Category, the top-level vendor is used in your Planning and Budgeting as the parent.
