Creating a Revenue Recognition Schedule Dataset in SuiteAnalytics
In a dataset, you combine the fields of a root record type and any joined related record types to create a query. The record types and fields that you have access to are based on the features enabled in your account and the permissions assigned to the role you use to log into NetSuite.
You can create a Revenue Recognition Schedule dataset to query revenue recognition schedules and gain insights into your revenue workflow. Consider the following information when working with the Revenue Recognition Schedule dataset:
-
If the Sales Order Revenue Forecasting feature is enabled, you may see revenue forecast schedules from sales orders and return authorizations in your dataset. To identify the forecast revenue recognition schedules, drag and drop the Estimate field to the Data Grid. If the revenue recognition schedule is a forecast, the Estimate column displays a blue checkmark. You can filter out the forecast revenue recognition schedules in the dataset. For more information about defining and filtering datasets, see Defining a Dataset and Dataset Criteria Filters. For more information about the Sales Order Revenue Forecasting feature, see Using Sales Order Revenue Forecasting.
-
If you want to see the related revenue recognition journals, drag and drop the Custom Recurrence Pattern: Journal field to the Data Grid. The Custom Recurrence Pattern: Journal displays the journal entry number if the line is recognized on the revenue recognition schedule. This field displays as -NONE- if the line is not recognized on the revenue recognition schedule.
You can link the Revenue Recognition Schedule dataset to another dataset, such as the Amortization Schedule dataset. For more information about dataset linking, see Dataset Linking in SuiteAnalytics Workbook.
