Avalara Company Creation

After the Avalara provisioning, you must select a subsidiary to register as a company on the Avalara Company Creation page. Only after you register a subsidiary as a company, you can activate the mandates and start using Avalara for electronic invoicing.

Note:

Only those subsidiaries that are registered in the OBN and do not have Avalara company record can be selected for Avalara company creation.

To register a subsidiary as a company:

  1. Go to Setup > Electronic Business > Avalara Company Creation.

  2. On the Avalara Company Creation page, from the Subsidiary list, select a subsidiary.

    Note:

    The Avalara Company Creation page displays the list of available Subsidiaries, Company Ids and the names of the Avalara managers assigned to that subsidiary. You can also filter the subsidiaries using the filter in the Subsidiaries with Company Ids table.

  3. Click Continue.

    The Avalara Company Creation subsidiary form has the following information:

    • Subsidiary – Name of the subsidiary.

    • Subsidiary ID – ID if the subsidiary.

    • Country – Country of the subsidiary.

    • Tenant ID – ID of the tenant.

  4. Click Submit.

    A success message displays after the successful creation of the company and the generated Company ID is available on the Avalara Company Creation page.
