Projects — Introduction

The Projects application is one of the primary components in SuiteProjects Pro. This is the application where you manage your company's projects. There are several configuration settings and data elements associated with the Projects application. The features and flexibility within this application are probably greater than any other application in SuiteProjects Pro.

Within the Projects application there are additional options to configure application-specific items such as the task worksheet within projects and the automated running of billing or recognition rules.

You are also able to evaluate the status of projects using Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics, and to determine if the project is profitable or unprofitable, and whether it is on schedule, behind schedule, or ahead of schedule. To use these metrics, you must have designated a cost for each resource, have a project plan established, and have the resources' time entered by project as time is incurred.
