Map NetSuite project subsidiary to project hierarchy

Check this box to map the project Subsidiary in NetSuite to a project hierarchy in SuiteProjects Pro.

• NetSuite subsidiary — If you use NetSuite OneWorld, subsidiaries are the primary classification used to organize your NetSuite records, and additional classification records are associated to a subsidiary. Each subsidiary represents a separate company within your global organization. Subsidiaries can be international or domestic. For more information about subsidiaries, see Subsidiaries in OneWorld (external link to NetSuite SuiteAnswers | Answer ID: 9872).

• SuiteProjects Pro hierarchy — You can use hierarchies are used to create multilevel classification trees and categorize records in your SuiteProjects Pro account. Each hierarchy is associated to one of the following record types: employees, customers, or projects. Multiple hierarchies can apply to the same record type. For more information about hierarchies, see Hierarchy.

After you check this box and you save the integration configuration, the integration creates the following records in SuiteProjects Pro:

• The Project Subsidiary hierarchy. The Project properties form in SuiteProjects Pro will show dropdown fields for the Project Subsidiary hierarchy if it contains any active nodes — Edit the hierarchy record or use form permissions to hide the Project Subsidiary hierarchy dropdown field on Project properties form, if required. You can also set the Project Subsidiary as required, and choose to display it as a column on lists.

  Note:

  You can map the NetSuite subsidiary to an existing SuiteProjects Pro hierarchy instead of using the hierarchy created by the integration. To do so, you need to delete the Project Subsidiary hierarchy created by the integration and edit the existing hierarchy, hierarchy levels, and nodes in SuiteProjects Pro. This lets you retain the existing hierarchy you are already using in SuiteProjects Pro.

• Custom fields for hierarchy and hierarchy nodes records. These check box custom fields are hidden by default — Edit the custom field records to show them on the hierarchy form, if required.

  • NetSuite subsidiary hierarchy [netsuite_hierarchy_subsidiary] — Check box used to identify if the hierarchy maps to the NetSuite subsidiary .

  • NetSuite ID [netsuite_hierarchy_node_id] — Text custom field used to map each level or node in the SuiteProjects Pro hierarchy to the corresponding NetSuite subsidiary record.

  • NetSuite subsidiary level or hierarchy node [netsuite_hierarchy_node_subsidiary] — Check box used to identify if the SuiteProjects Pro hierarchy level or node maps to a NetSuite subsidiary depth level or record.
