Refresh a Report

Using the Refresh Report menu, you can refresh the report that is currently open in the workbook. This menu is used to refresh both imported reports and inserted reports.

To refresh a single report at a time:

1. Open the report that you want to refresh.
2. In the Smart View ribbon, under the Report group, click Refresh Report.

   The report is refreshed with the latest data.

   Note:

   • The Report group is displayed in the Smart View ribbon only when the report is open. Refresh Report maintains the open workbook and also maintains the user formula.
   • When you refresh an existing exported, imported, or inserted report in Excel, the existing report gets refreshed in the same Excel workbook.
   • You can only refresh reports in Excel that are in the original workbook. If you move or copy report sheets to another workbook, they cannot be refreshed.

Refresh All Reports

Starting Oracle Smart View for Office 25.100+, you can refresh all inserted reports present in a workbook in a single click using the Refresh All Reports menu. This menu can be used only for inserted reports. It appears disabled in the Smart View ribbon for imported reports, since these are standalone reports and are always imported in new workbooks.

To refresh all inserted reports in a workbook at once:

1. Open the workbook with the inserted reports that you want to refresh.
2. In the Smart View ribbon, under the Report group, click Refresh All Reports.

   All reports in the workbook are refreshed with the latest data.

   Note:

   If you do not change the prompt and POV, and insert the report again with the same prompt and POV combination, then Smart View allows you to insert the report. However, when you try to refresh it, only the last inserted report is refreshed. The initially inserted report with the same prompt and POV combination is not refreshed.
