Refresh Behaviors in Financial Reporting

You must select a page in the report to refresh. In Word and PowerPoint, if you do not select any pages when refreshing, a message is displaying stating that no pages are updated.

If you select Refresh, all pages of the report are refreshed. If you select Refresh All, then all reports in the document are refreshed.

An "Invalid Pointer" error results during login when the data source connection has timed out and you attempt to refresh a previously-saved report that contains a function grid. To work around this, close the workbook and Excel. Then, restart Excel, open the workbook, and perform the refresh.
Refreshing Financial Reporting Documents Against Cloud EPM Connections
To refresh Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Performance Management documents in Excel, Word, or PowerPoint, perform an action:

To update the selected Financial Reporting document, including all pages associated with that document, select Refresh on the Smart View ribbon.

To update all Financial Reporting documents, select Refresh All on the Smart View ribbon.
