10 Upgrading Single Instance Database to Oracle Database 19c in the Cloud
Oracle Cloud at Customer (OCC) 20.4 supports Oracle Database Classic Cloud Service (DBCS) 19c for single instance databases. You can upgrade your existing single instance database (Oracle Database 11g, 12.1, 12.2, or 18c). to Oracle Database 19c following a sequence of upgrade steps outlined in this chapter.

The following terminology is used through this chapter:
- SOURCE DB: The single instance database that needs to be upgraded to Oracle Database 19c.
- TARGET DB: The upgraded single instance database.
