Terminate an Autonomous Database on Dedicated Exadata Infrastructure

Shows you the steps to terminate an Autonomous Database on Dedicated Exadata Infrastructure.

Note:

Terminating an Autonomous Database permanently deletes it and removes all automatic backups and long-term backups. You cannot recover a terminated database.

Required IAM Policies

Procedure

  1. Go to the Details page of the Autonomous Database you want to terminate.

    Tip:

    For databases that use Autonomous Data Guard, go to the Details page of the primary database.

    Note:

    In an Autonomous Data Guard setup, you can not terminate an Autonomous Database in an Autonomous Container Database (ACD) whose standby ACD is in a snapshot standby role.

  2. On Oracle Public Cloud, select Terminate under More Actions. On Exadata Cloud@Customer, select Delete under More Actions.
  3. On the Terminate Autonomous Database page enter the database name to confirm that you want to terminate the database.
  4. Click Terminate in Oracle Public Cloud and Terminate Autonomous Database in Exadata Cloud@Customer.
