Modifying the jdbj.ini File

Use this procedure to modify the jdbj.ini file on your Development Client.

Note: The jdbj.ini is replaced each time you install the WLSH4A or WASH4A (Tools Releases prior to 9.2.9.0) or Development Client (Tools Releases 9.2.9.0 and later); therefore, you must perform these steps again if you reinstall.
  1. If using WebLogic Server, locate these files:

    <E1_install_dir>\system\JAS\EA_JAS_80.ear\webclient.war\WEB-INF\classes\jdbj.ini

    <E1_install_dir>\system\classes\jdbj.ini

    <E1_install_dir>\<pathcode>\ini\jdbj.ini [modify only if this file
            exists]
  2. If using WebSphere, locate these files:

    <E1_install_dir>\JAS\EA_JAS_80.ear\webclient.war\WEB-INF\classes\jdbj.ini

    <E1_install_dir>\system\classes\jdbj.ini

    <E1_install_dir>\<pathcode>\ini\jdbj.ini [modify only if this file
            exists]
  3. Edit the jdbj.ini file to update this entry:

    [JDBj-BOOTSTRAP DATA SOURCE]
    serverPort=<value>
    Note: This value should correspond to the value of the TLS port on your Enterprise database server. This value should be provided by your EnterpriseOne administrator.
  4. Edit the jdbj.ini file to include this entry:
    [JDBj-RUNTIME PROPERTIES]
    useTLS=true
