Configure an FTP Connector to Transfer a File from an FTP Server to the AIS Server
Click the Connectors icon on the Orchestrator Studio Home page.
On the Connectors side panel, click the New drop-down menu and select FTP.
Create and name the connector service request as described in Creating a Component.
On the Connectors design page, click the FTP field and select a connection to the server from which you want to transfer a file.
If no connections are available for an FTP connector, ask your system administrator to create one. See Creating a Soft Coding Record for an FTP Server Connection
Select the File option.
Click the Type drop-down list and select Receive.
In the Source File Name field, enter the name of the file that you want to retrieve.
In the Target File Name field, enter the name of the target file, if you want it to be saved to the temporary directory on the AIS Server, with a name that is different from the name of the source file.
Click the Use Temporary File Location check box to save the file to the temporary directory on the AIS Server.
Note:Starting with Tools Release 9.2.9.3, the Restrict Orchestration File Access to Temporary Directory setting is available in EnterpriseOne Server Manager. This is a systemwide setting and is turned on by default. When this setting is on, the Use Temporary File Location checkbox will be turned on and grayed out, which means that your orchestrations will be restricted to reading from and writing to the AIS temporary directory. Contact your system administrator to change this setting in Server Manager.
In the Path Extension field, enter the name of the subdirectory on the third-party FTP server from where you want to retrieve the file.
Since Receive was selected in the Type field, the Path Extension field applies to the file that you want to retrieve.
Enable or disable the Remove Source File toggle. This toggle is enabled by default, and applies to the source file. It removes the file that you retrieved from the FTP server after it is transferred.
Click Save.
