Summarizing Packages

After finding a package, you can summarize the package before you download the package. The Summarize Packages option enables you to group all the packages by the option you select in a separate list.

To summarize packages:
  1. On the Search Results tab, select the packages that you want to summarize and click the Summarize Packages button.
  2. If you select the Summarize option from the drop-down list box, Change Assistant summarizes the selected packages.
  3. Select one of the following options to specify the information type by which you want to summarize the packages:
    • BUGs

      The First In option enables you to identify in which package or ESU the bug first appeared.

    • Objects
    • Objects by BUG

      The First In option enables you to identify in which package or ESU the bug first appeared.

    • Include Dependent Packages.
  4. You can right-click the user interface grid to export or view the data in a print preview mode.
  5. Click Ok.
  6. Rick-click the user interface grid and select Export All or Print Preview from the context menu to view the summarized package information in an Excel or a PDF format, respectively.
Note: You can also enable the Summarize Packages option from Working with Packages application and Working with Batches application.
