If you are using Office 365 on a Windows machine and have installed Smart View, and you are also provisioned as a Smart View (Mac and Browser) user in a centralized deployment, you may see an additional Smart View ribbon tab when launching Excel application on your Windows machine. Smart View (Mac and Browser) is currently supported only on Mac and browser platforms. Trying to launch the Smart View Panel from a Smart View web add-in ribbon may result in an error message displaying in the panel. On Windows, you should use the Smart View installed version ribbon tab and its associated Smart View ribbon instances; for example, the Planning ribbon or Planning Ad Hoc ribbon.

The manifest file administrator may create specific user groups to avoid the Smart View (Mac and Browser) add-in being deployed to Windows users.
