About Ad Hoc Analysis
In ad hoc analysis, you use Oracle Smart View for Office functionality with Excel spreadsheets to retrieve and analyze data.
You do this by selecting members, using functions, and performing a variety of operations, including formatting, to design and build your reports.
Note:
Ad hoc operations are not supported on protected worksheets.
