Overview
Using Oracle Smart View for Office, you can view, import, manipulate, distribute, and share data from various data sources using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Note:
Smart View is not supported with shared workbooks. When the Excel option for sharing workbooks is enabled, Smart View operations are not supported. For example, attempting to perform a refresh in a shared workbook can cause an exception to occur. To clear the shared workbook option in Excel, go to the Review ribbon, then click the Share Workbook button, and then clear the Allow changes by more than one user at the same time check box.
Watch this overview video to learn about using basic features in Smart View. The video references Planning as the data source, but the functionality shown is common to most Smart View providers.
