Variance/Var is a financial function that evaluates the difference between the specified values based on account type for the current account.

For Expense accounts, a positive result represents an unfavorable variance, so the result appears as a negative number. For Non-expense accounts, a positive result represents a favorable variance, so the result appears as a positive number.

Variance/Var is available for standard database connections.
