Receive Warning of Possible Matching Tax Details During Supplier Registration Request Review

During review and approval of new supplier registration requests, supplier management administrators will now see a warning if the tax details included in the registration appear to be similar to any existing supplier records. This check is achieved by removing any spurious formatting in the tax details submitted in the registration request and comparing to the unformatted details on existing supplier profiles. In this way, the warning may identify possible matches not valid due to, for example, distinct tax IDs from different tax jurisdictions. The administrator can conduct additional checks to confirm the prospective supplier information before approving the registration request. This helps to deter potential bad actors who are providing information that is similar to an existing supplier in the hopes of impersonating that organization.
