Release Holds using Approvals Management (AME)

You can initiate approval process to release a hold or a hold source using Oracle Approvals Management (AME).

After configuring the necessary setup, when you release an order hold in the Release Holds window, an approver list is dynamically generated based on AME rule setup, and notifications are sent to the designated approvers, and status of the hold is updated to Pending Release. On completion of the approval process, the hold is released.

Prior to Release 12.2.15, the order hold or the hold source was released immediately on performing Release action in the Release Holds window or the Release Sources window.

Steps to Enable

  1. To enable this feature for the desired hold, select the new Use Approvals Management Engine checkbox for that hold in the Holds window.

The new checkbox is enabled for custom holds only. The checkbox is not editable for seeded holds.

  1. Setup the approval rules in AME to route the approval process as desired for the new transaction types:
  • Order Management Hold Source Release
  • Order Management Order Hold Release
