To request an Oracle provided general purpose Windows base image, visit My Oracle Cloud Support and click Create Service Request.

For Issue Type, select Technical Issue. Follow the prompts to complete the request.

In response to the service request, a Service Engineer provides a Pre-Authenticated Request (PAR) Object Storage URL for the requested image along with specific instructions for importing the image and preparing it for use with Secure Desktops.

The PAR includes the base Windows installation and associated packages required for Secure Desktops, including VirtIO drivers, Cloudbase-Init, and Oracle Cloud Agent. The image is configured with a 100 GB boot volume by default.

Note

  • You can request one image per service request.
  • The provided PAR Object Storage URL is time sensitive and remains available for 72 hours.
