Desktop Audio Doesn't Work

The audio might not work when using the virtual desktop if you're using the web client or the administrator has limited audio access.

Web client doesn't support audio

Use the installed client if you need audio when using the virtual desktop.

Audio access has been limited by the administrator

To use audio on the virtual desktop, the desktop administrator must enable microphone and speaker access when configuring the desktop pool. Contact the desktop administrator for help. See Viewing Your Desktop Status for information about viewing desktop administrator contact details.

Audio access isn't enabled for the desktop client

In addition to the desktop administrator enabling microphone and speaker access when configuring the desktop pool, the user must ensure that audio access is enabled through device sharing on the client.

  1. From the system tray, right-click on the Secure Desktops client icon to display the Device Sharing menu.
  2. Ensure Microphones and Speakers are selected and click Allow.

Changes take effect the next time you connect.
